She sat there thinking ,
the way the scenes of her life plays along in her mind like an old abandoned movie , along with all those empty promises you made .
Tears broke free from the grasps of her eyes ,
and at that moment ,
she knew ,
it isn't over .
Day 3 ( 29th May 2008 )
Woke up at 7 in the morning , this time its when the teachers switched on all the lights in the dormitory , not cause of Jiayu's super annoying alarm :D Hehe . Washed up , had breakfast , then went back to the room to pack our stuffs before setting off . Proceeded to the forest to go set the trap for our chicken first , amazing how the whole thing works lahh :D Haha .
Went to some kampong after that , was introduced to the different types of traps used to trap different types of animals in the wild lahh , pretty cool (: The others played around with the blow pipe after that , watched them do so , then bought some traditional games there lahh :D Yepp .
Others started trying out the games after that , crap Peng Siang , kept throwing stones at Jiayu and I , rahh . Walked around the area after that , the guide helped us cut off some jackfruit (?) cause we asked him to , supposedly for our lunch , don't think we ate it in the end though :/ lols .
Went back to somewhere near our dormitories after that , was showed the different types of plants that can be used for cooking , then went to look at our traps :D Amazing how we actually managed to get a hen and rooster just using two traps (: Hehe . Wouldn't be surprised if someone actually put them there nicely for us though =P Nah jk . Haha .
Worst part was the killing for the chickens lahh ! =P Brandon and some other guy was like made to do it , super disgusting :/ Like , I srsly pity the poor chicken lahh , ): Cause Brandon apparently hasn't killed a chicken before , so instead of just chopping off the chicken's head immediately with the chopper , he went sawing it O: LOL . Rahh . Super scary , the fresh blood and all , yuck .
The guys proceeded to pluck out all the feathers of the chickens after soaking them in hot water , the girls went doing all the cutting of the vegetables and blah . Yepp . Wasn't feeling well half way , so went back to the dormitory to rest for a while with Jiayu and Gen :D They were being darlings by helping me fan myself throughout while I was lying on the bed , cause the power switch cannot be on during the day , hence no ventilation in the dormitory . Yepp , super sweet of them :D Hehe . Thankyouuu [:
Went back to the place the others were after that , realised that they were doing pretty well w/o us , so like , decided to go back to the dormitory (again) with the guys :D lols . Finished packing up on our stuffs after that , then munched on chips and just chatted randomly with Jiayu and Gen :D Haha . Two really sweet people . Yepp . Went out for lunch after that , :D Haha . Feels weird eating all the chicken and blah after seeing how it was actually killed and boiled , hehe .
Packed up after lunch , was already two hours behind schedule then :/ Took the jeep along the bumpy road again , had one less jeep than our trip there , so had to share jeep with the guys ,ended up having to sit next to Brandon . Rahh . Nothing happened during the trip back lahh , really ! :/ Haha . Like hello , we're innocent :D At least , I am [: Hehe . Changed bus after that , went for dinner (: Then continued the whole bus ride till we reached Singapore , tiring ! :/ Ohwell , realised that the guys weren't that bad after chatting with them on the way back eh :D Hehe . Yepp , went home , talked to kor on the phone , slept :D
Overall , learnt quite a lot from this trip :D
- Never to go on long trips to ulu places with no reception again unless Im okay with dying w/o kor around . Haha .
- (some) guys can be really helpful at times eh :D
- Leeches are , O: yuck .
And yepp , a lot other stuffs , like bonding and blah . Haha . So yeaa .. this trip wasn't as bad as expected lahh , (:
Shall post abt yesterday and today in another post then :D Ciao .
